Spellbound Scions (R-rated for violence and some lanaguage and slight nudity) is about a young cat-burglar hired by one of the richest men in the world to "retrieve" three rings. These rings, of course, lead the burglar and his friends on an adventure none of them ever thought possible--or wanted. Follow Seth Nuria as he searches for the descendants of the wizards who left behind their magic to fight those that would use magic for the wrong reasons. (This is not meant to be an insult to Eastern religions [which my villains are based heavily on]. I just study mythology and theology, so my stories are commonly based on both. I respect fully the Shaolin temple, Buddhism, and the fact that India, China, Japan, and any other possible region of the East is separate. That is why this is constituted as fiction.)

Acts of Charity (R-rated for violence and some lanaguage) is about an innocent monk who--through her travels--befriends two sinners and trains them to work for the side of good. Very losely based on the legends of Qilin, Gong-Gong and Er-Lang of Chinese Myth. Some words (such as "qi") are used in the Chinese form, while other words, such as the god Lokesvara, are based more on the Indian spelling. I have tried to stay true to Chinese form, but Lokesvara and Vajrapane are spelled a lot shorter in Indian spelling and fit better with a comic. (Again, not meant to insult the religions. I study myhtology/theology and write stories based on them.)

Holiday Images(PG-13 for some racial jokes) are extra little comics added in during each Christian American holiday. (IE, you're not gonna see anything for Jewish or Wiccan [I forget the older name of the religion] holidays [I understand Christmas was just Yule stolen, but it is the only day we celebrate Christ's birth openly, so I'm sorry about the theft, but there will be no theft of Samhain here, at least (though characters may celebrate it, depending on their views, within the comic)], Muslim, Buddhism, etc.) Nor are you going to see anything from other countries. These images can be intracomic. (The independence day one is a prime example, with Seth and Charity both taking part in it.)

News

Well, unfortunately, due to my health and some other issues, TGB will probably not be starting Sunday. While I'll be working all day today and tomorrow, I really don't want to compromise the quality of the book for a date. I hope that I manage it, but at this point, it looks like it's delayed. Sorry. I really didn't want to miss any updates on my site this time.

Oh, another piece of news: my mom will probably be selling betas online, which means this site will be hosting Heartcatcher Betas soon. (We also started this site because of Heartcatcher Rabbitry, so the betas taking the same name is not surprising.)

Starting August 1st, there will be a monthly post of "The Great Book," starting with Genesis 1. This and a colouring book of the Bible are the whole reason I named the site as I did, so I'm very excited to be starting this.
